Chief director Haixia Xu Was Honored as the Sixth Session Pudong New Area Top Ten Excellent Young Lawyers

     On June 30, 2015, the evaluation and selection of the Sixth Session Pudong New Area Top Ten Excellent Young Lawyers was jointly held by Shanghai Judicial Bureau of Pudong New Area, Lawyers Committee of the Communist Party of Pudong New Area, Lawyers Youth League Committee of Pudong New Area, the Tenth Shanghai Bar Association Pudong Lawyers Working Committee, etc. The event has gone through two months’ preliminary selection, online voting, onsite final voting and other procedures.

   The chief director Haixia Xu was selected as “Top Ten Excellent Young Lawyer” after various rounds of evaluation and selection.

   As senior partner Minfei Chen stated about Ms Haixia Xu in his recommendation speech, Ms Xu was the deputy secretary general and counsel of Pudong New Area Women Lawyer Association, member of Shanghai Bar Association Education and Culture Research Committee and member of Shanghai Pudong New Area Teenager Interest and Right Protection Think Tank; she has also recognized as “Leading Talents in Legal Profession” in 2012 and 2013; she was awarded Third Grade Prize for Non-litigation Legal Documents of the First Session Shanghai Lawyer Academic Competition. Meanwhile, she was enthusiastic about public interest and actively organized or participated in various public interest activities such as “Lawyers Go to University”, “Legal Service Go to Communities”, etc. In addition, she has strong business capability and always topped in business revenue. She was also experienced in law firm management.

   During the interview session, when asked by the judging panel “what’s your dream?”, she replied without thinking that she wanted to be a real social legal worker and her responsibility was to provide even more and even better legal service and to realize the value of law in social development.

   After ten years’ practice, Ms Xu now led a law firm towards great prospect. This honor given today was not an end but a fresh start for Ms Xu.
